We asked Donna Weaver, the Founder of Catering to Cats and Dogs, a few questions that we believed the public and prior donors would want to know.

What happened?

Petco has chosen to provide adoption habitat to Humane Society of Charlotte (HSC).

Why did it happen?

Petco knew about this change more than 1 year ago, but failed to tell C2CND until August 2015 indicating that our last day in Petco would be December 1st 2015. Once informed, C2CND & LNLCP met with HSC, who indicated they would secure a spot for C2CND to still be able to host adoptions.

At a later meeting (late September) with Petco Management and HSC Management, C2CND was told October 31st 2015 would be their last day at Petco and HSC informed C2CND that there wouldn’t be a spot for C2CND as the new adoption facility within Petco was much smaller than anticipated. Therefore, C2CND decided to leave immediately to concentrate on their Partnership with PetSmart and encourage our customers to follow.

How many pets are in jeopardy?

Approximately 112 cats and 89 dogs, We have also ceased intakes at this time due to slowed adoptions and getting the word out to our customers of our current location.

What can people do to help?

You can help by donating cat/dog food, cat litter, spreading the word about where we host adoptions and by monetary donations as well. Our PayPal account is donna@c2cnd.org and our mailing address is: PO Box 123, buy finasteride online australia Cornelius, NC 28031

What is C2CNDs vision going forward?

C2CND’s Vision is to adopt as many animals as possible into wonderful loving homes, to educate the public on spay/neuter, and to one day have a building of our own to host adoption events so we no longer have to depend on other venues.

What location is desirable?

Huntersville/Cornelius/Davidson area is most desirable location for C2CND.

What kind of money would it take to start?

To build a building with all our needs of a quarantine intake, medical area, education center and the right location would take approximately $500,000+.

What kind of money would it take run?

Yearly our expenditures are over $100,000, which includes medical needs, wellness, food/litter, care, pet sitting, etc. There are no paid employees in our current situation. Most likely, we would need at least 2 full-time employees to enable care of animals in house.

How long would it take?

It would take at least two years to build or remodel to get a building up to code and running.

How many pets have you saved this year?

C2CND has adopted 515 pets to date with many more in house.

How many pets have you save since inception?

Since inception, Catering To Cats & Dogs has adopted out almost 2,300 animals and has financially (monetarily, donations or pulling animals) assisted multiple other rescues. To name a few: Lake Norman Lucky Cat, HATS/LCAS, Great Dane Rescue of the Carolinas, Friends of Feral Felines, Friends for Life, Safe Haven for Cats (SC), Friends of York (SC), Ironstone Rescue, Family Addition, Cabarrus AS, Rowan AS, and Paws & Claws Feline Rescue.
