Jack baby (2)A co-worker informed us one morning that he had a litter of puppies at his house. Thirty dollars and a quick visit to Alan’s garage would guarantee you a beagle-mixed-with-mystery-dog pet. That was how I ended up with Jack. Most of us have experienced something similar, whether through a co-worker, neighbor or signs proclaiming “Puppies – Free to Good Home” at the coffee shop. This didn’t make Jack’s story unique. And it wasn’t unique because of a cardboard box brimming with eager, wriggling puppies. Or even because Jack was the tiniest of them all.

The thing about Jack is that he’s the very smartest, most vibrant dog I’ve ever met (yes, all pet owners brag). Even though I don’t know his pedigree, I’m sure it’s something extra buy cheap finasteride 1mg special. But my relationship with him would have never come to fruition if Alan hadn’t stopped to help a pregnant, stray beagle cast out on the side of the road. Alan picked her up and carried her home. It was her new home where she was cared for and soon gave birth to a litter of wonderful puppies, one of which lies curled up at my feet five years later. Were Alan not so vigilant and ready to aid this helpless stray, we would have both missed out on our future pets.

JackI tell you this story because had I visited a breeder to purchase a dog of unquestionable pedigree, I would have missed out on what will be one of the most cherished relationships of my life. For me, I’ve seen firsthand that bloodlines cannot substitute for personality mixed with just a little bit of doggie gratefulness. So many other dogs are waiting to run and wriggle into the lives of their future family. So before you go, please take time to view our adoptable dogs today.
